I had a decent stay at the hotel. The beach access was definitely a highlight, plus the private entrance to the beach was fantastic. The service was generally friendly, though there were some staff members who could improve their hospitality skills. The room we initially booked had some issues, but we managed to get our money back. Overall, it has great value, but some aspects need attention.

Rooms

We worked hard to get our money back for the unused room with a balcony and sea view, which we had high hopes for.
Service

Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating, but I did encounter a few who seemed a bit abrupt.

The breakfast was decent, though it took a while to arrive; it would be nice to have better options available.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The location is absolutely stunning and the rooms are luxurious, but there were a few issues with cleanliness and the dining services. The staff was friendly, but service could be more attentive. Overall, it’s a nice place to stay, particularly if you’re looking for a great beach view, but it comes with its drawbacks.

Rooms
7.0
I stayed in a stunning room within one of the beach houses, which was clean, luxurious, and well-equipped. However, I did notice the bathroom could use some serious refurbishment.
Service
7.0
The staff was friendly and warm, going out of their way to help. Yet, there were moments when some staff members seemed a bit disinterested in providing top-notch service.
Location

The hotel's location is amazing, overlooking beautiful Carbis Bay Beach, which made for lovely afternoons, even when it was chilly.
Dining
6.0
The dining was nice, but I was surprised that for a hotel of this caliber, I had to queue to make my own toast during breakfast. There were good options available, but it felt a bit like a budget hotel in that aspect.
Facilities

The facilities were generally good with a good selection available, but I felt there could be improvements to make everything more enjoyable.

I found the hotel to be in an absolutely stunning location, overlooking a beautiful bay, which made my stay special. The rooms were a bit cramped, but they were clean. Unfortunately, I encountered some issues with service, especially upon check-in when my room wasn’t clean. Dining was small but had some delightful options. Overall, while the location and cleanliness of the rooms were strong points, the service could definitely use some improvement.

Rooms

My stay at the hotel had its highlights and low points. The location is simply stunning with beautiful sea views and direct beach access. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the room left much to be desired in terms of space and comfort. The facilities were nice, but the dining experience was chaotic, which was disappointing. Overall, I enjoyed my time here, but it didn't completely meet my expectations for the price.

Rooms
5.0
I was expecting a Superior Room, but it didn't have enough storage space for my belongings, which was frustrating. The lack of air conditioning made the room feel unbearably hot, and the bay window didn’t offer much value in terms of view.
Service
7.0
The staff were genuinely helpful and friendly, especially Phil the porter and Mel the receptionist. However, service could use improvement when it came to ordering drinks, as they were not always easy to find.
Location
9.0
The location is absolutely beautiful, with sea views from all rooms and a private path to the beach. It's hard to beat that setup. Melissa at the reception was great and handled an emergency really well.
Dining
5.0
The dining was a bit hectic and poorly organized. While breakfast was good with a nice variety, the overall execution felt chaotic.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were decent, with a lovely pool area. Still, it could benefit from better maintenance to enhance the experience.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was impressed by its beautiful location near one of the UK's prettiest beaches. The service was friendly and helpful, but I felt the dining options, particularly at breakfast, could use improvement. While the room was comfortable, it didn't quite provide the sea view I had hoped for, and the bathroom was a bit cramped. Overall, it offers good value for money, but there are areas that need attention.

Rooms
6.0
I was a bit disappointed with the room’s sea view and found the bathroom a little small, which made showering comfortably a challenge. It felt somewhat dated and could really benefit from a refresh.

I had a lovely stay at the hotel, with a stunning beach view from my room and helpful staff throughout my visit. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach and close to St Ives. While the dining options were tasty, I felt they could have offered larger portions. Overall, a great experience with a few minor downsides in dining.

Rooms

My room was very large and finished to a high standard, complete with a huge bay window that offered an amazing view of the beach. It felt luxuriously appointed, although it was a bit cramped, but this didn’t bother me too much.
Service

The service was fantastic! The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to ensure I enjoyed my stay, although I did encounter one team member who was a bit patronizing regarding the dinner options.
Location

The location was stunning, right next to the beach. I enjoyed an easy walk along a coastal path to St Ives, and it was just a short ride to the main attractions. However, keep in mind that getting to the beach involves a steep downhill walk.
Dining

The dining experience was nice with plenty of freshly prepared food, but I found the portion sizes for breakfast to be on the smaller side for the price. Also, as a coffee lover, I wished there was a cafetiere available for my caffeine cravings.

The rooms were a bit smaller than expected for the price, but they were clean and comfortable. The service was hit or miss; when they were attentive, they were great, but there were moments of neglect. The dining experience could use some improvement in variety, but there were some standout options.

6.2/10

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall, it was a nice experience with some wonderful views over the bay and comfortable rooms. However, there were a few drawbacks like the noise from construction nearby and an unpleasant interaction with the hotel staff regarding dinner arrangements. The dining was quite good but could definitely improve, especially for coffee lovers like me. It's a decent place, but there’s room for enhancement in service.

Rooms
7.0
The apartments were very good and finished to a high standard, with lovely views, although the scaffolding around the windows and a noisy boiler outside were a bit distracting.
Service

The service was a letdown; I felt embarrassed by the staff's patronizing response regarding the dinner options. It would have been nice if they had been more accommodating.
Location

Dining
6.0
Dining was generally good, but I would have appreciated better coffee options; a cafetière would have been perfect for my caffeine cravings.
Facilities

6.8/10

I stayed at this hotel expecting a comfortable experience, but I was a bit disappointed with the room size as it felt unacceptably small, almost like it was split into two tiny rooms. On the upside, the friendly staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant, and the location was fantastic with beautiful beach access. The dining experience wasn't great either, especially breakfast, which left much to be desired. Overall, it's a mixed bag with some lovely aspects but some significant downsides.

Rooms
5.0
The room was unacceptably small and lacked space for my suitcases and the oversized cushions on the bed.
Service
